Former NBA Star Leads Bible Study For Trump Administration

Former NBA star Ralph Drollinger has shared details about a weekly bible study he teaches to key members of President Trump’s administration

(VERO BEACH, FL) In an interview with CBN News’ White House Correspondent Jennifer Wishon published Monday, Mr. Drollinger gave previously unheard insight about the “Trump Cabinet Bible study” and referred to the attendees as “godly individuals” that God has risen to a position of prominence in America’s culture.

"I don't think [President] Donald Trump has figured out that he chained himself to the Apostle Paul," Mr. Drollinger said. "It's the best Bible study that I've ever taught in my life. They are so teachable; they're so noble; they're so learned.”

According to Mr. Drollinger, regular attendees include Health Secretary Tom Price, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Agriculture Secretary Sunny Perdue, CIA Director Mike Pompeo and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Regarding the former Alabama Senator, Mr. Drollinger said he’s personally witnessed AG Sessions publicly employing a Bible Study’s lesson later on the same day it was taught.

"He'll (Jeff Sessions) go out the same day I teach him something and I'll see him do it on camera and I just think, 'Wow, these guys are faithful, available and teachable and they're at Bible study every week they're in town,'" Mr. Drollinger said.

President Trump and Vice President Pence are also both invited to the Bible study, and even though he has not yet reportedly attended a meeting, the commander in chief personally receives a copy of Mr. Drollinger’s teachings each week.

VP Pence, who CBN reported serves as a sponsor for the Bible study, reportedly plans to attend when his schedule permits.

Regarding the Vice President, Mr. Drollinger said he sees “many similarities” to biblical figures like Joseph, Mordecai and Daniel – all men, CBN’s Jennifer Wishon notes in her report, “rose to the number two position in governments at different times in history.”

"[VP] Mike Pence has respect for the office. He dresses right - like it says Joseph cleaned himself up before he went to stand before the Pharaoh," Mr. Drollinger told CBN News. “Mike Pence has uncompromising biblical tenacity and he has a loving tone about him that's not just a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal," he continued. "And then fourthly, he brings real value to the head of the nation."

TRUNEWS previously reported on VP Pence's March visit to Church by the Glades in South Florida where he shared his story of accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior.

According to CBN, Mr. Drollinger often compares President Trump to biblical strongman Samson, from Chapter 13-16 of the Book of Judges.

"I just praise God for them," Mr. Drollinger said. "And I praise God for Mike Pence, who I think with Donald Trump chose great people to lead our nation."

Mr. Drollinger noted to CBN’s Jennifer Wishon that he doesn't believe a formal Bible study among executive Cabinet members has been done in at least 100 years.

Following his NBA career, Mr. Drollinger founded Capitol Ministries reportedly with the idea that “if you change the hearts of lawmakers, then their Christian world view will guide them to make good policies.”

In addition to his new role pastoring officials in the Trump administration, Mr. Drollinger has started Bible studies in 40 state capitols, as well as a number of foreign capitols, and also teaches weekly studies in the U.S. House and Senate.
