What does Vladimir Putin know about foreign plans to create an anti-Russia bioweapon?
VERO BEACH, FL (TruNews) On Monday during a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, President Putin questioned the intent behind the collection by foreign agents of “biological material” from different Russian ethnic groups.
President Putin said:
"Do you know that the biological material is collected all over the country for different ethnic groups and peoples living in different geographical area’s of the Russian Federation? The question is why they are doing it, and they are doing it purposefully and professionally. We are an object of great interest. Of course, we do not need to have any fear about it. Let them do whatever they want, and we must do what we have to do.”
On Tuesday Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov added that the DNA samples are being collected by agents of foreign non-government organizations and they are exporting the data overseas for scientific analysis.
"This information comes from Russian special services,” Peskov said.“Some emissaries are really carrying out such activities, representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and other bodies. Such cases were registered, and security services, the president naturally have this information.”
Russian MP Gennady Onishchenko believes the DNA is being collected by the U.S. for a Russian specific bioweapon.
“The fact that our citizens' fluids, organs and tissues are being collected is evidence that the U.S. has not stopped its aggressive military program,” Mr. Onishchenko said.
In July, the U.S. Air Force posted a contract on FedBizOpps.gov requesting RNA samples and connective tissue that lines joints, tendons and fluid-filled sacs between tendons and bones.
The contract stipulated all samples must be collected from Russia and from Caucasian donors. The contact also stated the government will not consider tissue samples from Ukraine.
